India is the world’s largest democracy and the second most populous country next to China. Begining 1990’s, India’s disinvestment policies helped her to get recognition worldwide in the field of technology,Medicines and Astronomy. India’s economic growth averaged 8% in the last three years. According to some economists, by 2025 the Indian economy is projected to be about 60 per cent the size of the US economy. But dispite of all this, a vast majority of Indians continue to live below the povery line.
The Rural Development Foundation (RDF) was established in Kalleda, Andra Pradesh,which provides free education for children belonging to poor families. The photo project of the RDF school has helped school children learn English and connect them with the world.
